Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company and its subsidiaries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by Saudi Arabia’s regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the headquarters’ finance team, audit and the indirect supervision of all managers in the accounting and finance department across the subsidiaries of the company.
1-Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
2-Participate in the development of the SRG’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
3-Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
4-Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President, Vice President, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
5-Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
6-Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
7-Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
8-Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
9-Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and funds and investments.
10-Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
11-Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
12-Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
13-Evaluate the finance and audit structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.
14-Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
15-Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
16-Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
17-Develop financial and tax strategies.
18-Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
19-Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction.
20-Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
21-Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
22-Manage the accounting, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments.
23-Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies.
24-Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced.
25-Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems.
26-Implement operational best practices.
27-Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
28-Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions.
29-Oversee the issuance of financial information.
30- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
31- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
32-Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
33-Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
34-Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
35-Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
63-Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts. Arrange for debt and equity financing.
