An upcoming five stars hotels coming soon in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is pleased to announce the recruitment of Executive Chef according to the following requirements:
• Candidate must have experience minimum two years with five stars hotels.
• Hotel Pre-opening experience is preferable.
• Transference of sponsorship is a must.
• Candidate must be resident in Saudi Arabia.
The Chef fulfils as a member of the management a very important task. His/her main target is to keep up the Gastronomy Standards in the kitchen.He/she exercises strong leadership and gives a strong accent on visible management in the front area, especially during main service hours.
Close co-ordination between Food & Beverage, Purchasing, Housekeeping and Stewarding.
Maintains our standards of quality, service and facilities in all areas over which he/she has responsibility and authority. He/she accounts for the overall smooth and economical running of the entire kitchens and is directly responsible for the Food Cost and the quality of the product. He/she signs for the production of the
best possible food quality with no compromises to quality.
Assists the management in supervising and implementing the Operational Standards as well as the Hotel’s internal rules and regulations.
SCOPE OF THE JOB:
Must be thoroughly familiar with the five stars corporate and gastronomy standards relevant to his/area and ensure they are followed.Assist all supervisors and the span of control in achieving their objectives.Will accomplish obligations and goals as outlined below:
– Organization of kitchen administration
– Compilation and adherence to financial budgets and cost.
Following areas are of crucial importance:
– Menu Planning/Production
– Kitchen Organization
– Quality/Product Image.

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:
Internal: Works in harmony with his/her colleagues, Housekeeping, Purchasing, Stewarding
External: Clients of the Hotel, suppliers and other business partners.
Materials: Operating supplies, machinery and assets within his/her area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or accumulated years of
experience and proven capability in management
• Strong command of English and Arabic (both oral and written)
•Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head chef or 3 years’ experience as Sous chef.
