Logistic Officer
Compare obtained prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound decisions and obtain supply chain manager approval.
Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization
Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
Ensures that services or machinery are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the services received is satisfactory
Reduce risk by applying right policies.
Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure timely delivery and to update PO’s status in the system.
Coordinate with truck drivers for safe and on-time delivery.
Follow up for custom clearance formalities for the overseas shipment.
Issue PO/PR and close the transactions as per the company policy.
Keep proper records of all forms of transactions relating to the company’s logistics operations
Resolve problems that are related to transportation and logistics systems
Negotiate transport or logistics rates with suppliers and customers so as to improve the supply chain
Monitor the entire process of product movement
Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low
Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes
Track shipments across different channels.
