We are currently seeking an experienced [Pipelines Integrity Engineer] to join the Pipeline Technical Support Division (PTSD). PTSD works with various departments within the Pipelines Department in resolving many of the day-to-day operational issues. The Pipelines Integrity Engineer will conduct fitness for purpose evaluations for pipelines based on corrosion evaluation, fracture mechanics and other mechanical engineering principles. You will be the focal point for ensuring all integrity related issues are managed, and that the appropriate support is provided to the operations team. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Engineering. EXPERIENCE: Seven years, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in his field. Duties & Responsibilities The candidate will analyze pipeline integrity data, identifying hazards and make recommendations for mitigating risks. Review impact of anomalies on pipeline (mechanical design) and make recommendations for remedial work. Evaluate integrity assessment results to identify the need for additional preventive maintenance, the need for rerating of the pipeline, determine the remaining operational life of the pipeline, and determine the optimum re-assessment interval and appropriate re-assessment methods, and any rehabilitative efforts to maintain asset integrity. Participate in the development of integrity plans for pipelines including the associated guidelines and procedures. Participate in the preparation of hazard identification and risk assessment studies for pipelines and their associated infrastructure. Develop or suggest improvements to Saudi Aramcos engineering standards, engineering procedures, and best practices. About Us Saudi Aramcos Refining, Marketing & International (RM&I) business line is responsible for the Companys downstream operations: refining, distribution and marketing. RM&I oversees the operations of the Companys wholly owned refineries and NGL (natural gas liquids) fractionation plants. The business line is also responsible for the Companys large integrated distribution system that encompasses pipelines, bulk plants and marine terminals. Saudi Aramcos wholly-owned shipping subsidiary, Vela International Marine Limited, operates one of the worlds largest fleets of supertankers. RM&I coordinates the Companys crude oil and refined products sales and marketing activities, in the Kingdom and in the Far East, Europe and the United States. RM&I also directs the Companys domestic and international joint and equity ventures in refining and marketing. Recently, the Company has moved further downstream by integrating petrochemical production with its Rabigh refinery in a project with an international partner and by entering into a similar venture in China. Additional integrated refining and petrochemical ventures are under study.
