QC Coordinator – Arkad
•Comply with requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act or Equivalent.
•Compliance with the Arkad Safety Management System.
•Maintain a safe place of work by ensuring that hazards in the workplace are identified and managed.
•Actively solicit and encourage input from all team members in improving Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHSE) performance.
•Evidence of OHSE awareness in assigned teams. For example, records showing active involvement as a team member in improving OHSE performance. Performance against assigned HSE Plan items. Involvement in HSE audits. Involvement in office safety audits.
•To assure the client that all maintenance or project work undertaken by the project/Department, which necessitates fabrication, manufacture or inspection is controlled using a recognized Quality Assurance System, which takes into account: customer specifications, applicable standards, codes and local regulatory requirements.
•Perceived competency, client complaints, system proficiency, facility integrity, customer feedback.
•Enforce the Quality Management System, as applicable.
•Compliance with approved procedures. Instructions and training of personnel. Audits
•Manage inspection assignments for procured equipment and items of fabrication.
•Satisfactory close-out of inspection assignments. Cost reporting. Minimum re-work.
•Liaise with Project Engineers to ensure quality/inspection costs are budgeted for in overall project costing.
•Timely and accurate close out of projects on schedule and within budget.
•Promote initiatives to improve cost effectiveness on assigned work.
•Evidence of initiatives developed and implemented. Evidence of cost savings achieved.
•Provide advice and assistance at design stage. Re: constructability, inspection requirements.
•Evidence that all work packs are reviewed and advice given so that constructability and inspection issues are addressed at design stage prior to installation.
•Provide advice and assistance to procurement/engineering prior to RFQ or issuance of PO/contract. Re: certification/testing requirements.
•Completeness and correctness of certification/reports received.
•Appraisals showing satisfactory performance of recruited personnel.
•Verify the competencies of 3rd party inspectors and 3rd party inspection agencies.
•Personnel records. Inspection files.
•Regular reviews of electronic and manual systems to ensure compliance.
•Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
•Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
